What is World Auto DB?
World Autodb is a database of automobiles. It will contain information about brands, their lineage, history, models, successes and failures, founders, innovators & innovations, etc. The database will also contain information about components, designs, and business innovations. There will be sections on racing, race drivers, famous races, and circuits.
There will be stories, fun facts, trivia, and a celebration of companies and people who went beyond our imaginations to create legendary stories with automobiles. Everything that I can compile about automobiles will be collected in this database.
The amount of information that can be collected in the database is virtually infinite. My ability to dedicate time to creating and curating content will be the limiting factor. This website will offer visitors content to browse, search, read, comment on, and share. Their input will help refine it further.
The database and website will contain no offensive or hateful content.
Why is such a website needed?
It has been my long-standing desire to create such a database, not just to express my lifelong interest in automobiles but also to build a legacy for future generations. Human history is filled with remarkable innovations designed to make life easier. Automobiles, in my view, are the most impressive of these innovations. Every single vehicle ever built, or designed, is a work of art, a testament to human ingenuity and passion. By featuring as many such examples as possible, I attempt to honor those innovations in my way.
The website will be a place for automotive enthusiasts and novices alike to enjoy being in the company of what they love. This will be a place where they come to read about a particular topic, but discover that there is a lot more. They can immerse themselves in the content and visit frequently to consume more content.
